Wonderful antique Dutch Victorian era 16 7/8" framed needlepoint sampler, figural depicting a child & dog: stitched by a 14yr old! A signature of sorts along the bottom reading "B.R.C. 14 Jaar" (14 years old). A wonderful piece, actually purchased to be used in my own home but I've found I have a little less wall space than I originally thought :). My loss, your gain...don't miss it! Good-very good condition. No rips or tears, hardly a missing stitch but there is a bit of age darkening visible in the cream colored outer needlework. The frame does appear original but the backing has been remounted, whether that was to clean the inside of the glass or replace the glass I can't say. See pictures for measurements.
