An interesting display or conversation piece. Great for the collector !! My great-grandfather, A.T. Sloan, founded a general store that also sold furniture and hardware in a small rural mill town in the late 1800s. This old town was kinda like Mayberry, and the store was a gathering place. It was then taken over by my grandfather, John Sloan, who ran the store until he died. The business was continued by family members until after my grandmother's recent passing, after which the store was closed. Most of these items are old; some, very very old. The building is being sold and many of these items would be great for someone who wants to start a country store or wants to open a store on a budget, as they are priced to sell. Due to the nature of these items, all are sold as-is, local pick-up only, all sales are final.You will be very happy with your purchase of a part of history. Check our store for more of these great finds.These items could probably use a little cleaning, maybe a little more cleaning, though it's mostly just dust. Other than a light dusting off, we haven't tried to clean these items.
