The cover has an applied silver and multicolored enamel plaque depicting the King of Clubs. Purple cabochon stone thumb-push piece. Guilded interior, heavy gage silver. The item is marked with maker's initials ME and 875 silver mark. Piece is in excellent condition with no significant areas of damage, silver, enamel or niello loss. Hinge works perfectly, the case closes tightly. Minor surface scratches and loss to the guilding of the interior. Size 4 1/4" x 3 3/8" or 10.8 cm x 8.5 cm.
