MARITIME MASTHEAD COPPER & BRASS SHIPS LANTERN* By J C & LORD BIRMINGHAM. Here is a nice old copper & brass ships lantern from an old collectors estate. It is marked MASTHEAD on the metal tag, and the metal tag below is marked: J C & LORD BIRMINGHAM. Lantern weighs about 20 lbs or so. Has it's original very thick glass globe. Has the original oil burner and reflector  that slides out from the back door. Mounting are made of solid brass. As seen in the pictures the top of the lantern has several shallow dents from use many years of use. I personally like it this way. The copper has a nice old warm patina. great display item if you like antique maritime collectibles. Glass globe has one very small nothing serious ding chip but aside from that glass globe is in good condition.
