OVERSIZE ANTIQUE MAHAJERON SAROUK CARPET_11 x 19 (11.2 x 18.11 actual)_Berea, Ky. Estate #1 Just bought several rugs and furniture from a fine Berea, Kentucky house sale. I will be listing all of the goods over the next month including about 10 antique rugs. Help yourself to some fine items that have never been on the market. Estate # 1 ...This is one very handsome antique carpet. A beautiful old piece with a large scale detached, allover floral design. Probably about 90 years old and still plenty of life left. The rug is high quality, with a fine knot count, superior wool and very flexible to the touch. The substantial size and thickness makes this a very heavy rug. The condition shows fairly even wear with one end showing more wear than the other as seen in the photos. The ends look good. There is one small stabilized repair at one side border (very close to the edge) as shown in a closeup. The rug is not dirty, but I always recommend a cleaning to any estate rugs just so that you can start with a fresh piece. The photos show the colors well. This one is a beauty and not one like it on ebay. Help yourself. Please ask questions before you bid. Shipping and handling to be paid by the buyer. Could run around $250 because of the size and weight. NO PAYPAL ACCEPTED.
