Not sure of metal, but reacts with magnet. It is about 18" long, this piece has some pitting, possible repainting and replaced glass, repair work around glass insert, otherwise is in good condition to use. A nice green kite tail example to collect, or display on your house or barn! This is a piece out of a private collection I have had for years, originally acquired from a retired roofer. Most of these lightning rod and weathervane items have spent years on the roofs of houses and barns, so are not in mint condition.
