Made in Sunderland in the North East of England ca. 1830's. It is not marked but was almost certainly made by Dawson. This teapot is in a Gaudy Welsh pattern that is commonly refered to as the Grape pattern. Measuring 8-1/4" long (handle to spout) and just under 5" high (to top of handle) this teapot is in excellent condition, just a small chip on the underside of the spout and a few tiny nibbles on the end of the spout but apart from that it is perfect: no other chips, no cracks and no repairs. The lustre is in fine condition with little wear and there is slight age crazing of the glaze but no staining or discoloration. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please excuse any glares (white patches) that you may see in the pictures, these are caused by reflections of light on the glaze and are not on the actual object itself.
