Description
THE PURPLE PLACE Auction Description This PAIR OF ANTIQUE FRENCH STERLING SHOT GLASSES are marked with the Trademark of BOUCLIER & PARIS (1880-1886), a diamond-shaped lozenge enclosing the tiny letters “B.&.P.” and an item at the top that I could not identify. The French Minerva head Hallmark, with a #1 above the forehead, is also stamped below the rim, and signifies .950 fineness. These elegant shots are sometimes referred to as jiggers as they can be used to measure liquor for cocktails. Each measures approximately 1 11/16 inches high and 1 3/8 inches in diameter at the top. Both shot glasses are gilded on the inside and beneath the folded rim, an embossed design encircles the pieces. They are over 100 years old and are truly treasures. The condition is very good on both, with a small dent on the bottom edge of one, and a little larger one on the bottom edge of the other. Shipping, Insurance and Delivery Confirmation is $5.50, USPS First Class Mail. International bidders are welcome, but please contact me for shipping charges before bidding.
