ANTIQUE FRENCH CUT SILK VELVET TEXTILE REMNANT PEACOCKS Start Price USD 14.95 Current Price USD 20.50 Time Left - Bid Count 4 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, August 24, 2008 End Time Friday, August 29, 2008 Location Black Mountain, NC See more about 'ANTIQUE FRENCH CUT SILK VELVET TEXTILE REMNANT PEACOCKS' Description This auction is for a beautiful and unique antique French late 1800s-early 1900s cut silk velvet fragment/remnant with a beautiful design of peacocks, swirly leaves, small, fancy birds, etc.  This is in excellent condition with no problems at all.  It has light upholstery weight with a cotton base.  It has a 3/8" selvedge on one side lengthwise, and has a repeat pattern top and bottom and is symmetrical on either side.  I would say that it is closest in shade to Photos, 1, 7 and 8, since Photo 2 depicts the shade as being pink in the background.  It is more of a golden peach pink with darker silk velvet.  I believe that it has some silk in the velvet and a cotton blend.  If it is important that the shade be a specific color, please do not bid, since I am terrible at describing colors.  This lovely piece measures approximately 21.5" x 11 3/4", being quite suitable for a small pillow.   S&H is $2.65       Place a Bid!
