The sampler has four types of alphabet forms and two lines of numerals. The sampler is made with silk thread on homespun linen.  Various forms of cross stitch are used in all but three lines.  The pulled thread method was used in the last three lines of the alphabet.  This technique is difficult and was done perfectly by Mary. The side columns and seperation lines involve a variety of stitches. Condition:  Very good for the age of the sampler.  There is a very light stain in the bottom right area of the sampler.  This could be the result of folding the sampler some time in the past.
