This exquisite 1800s ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU FIRE BOX WITH SIX PANELS OF SEMI NUDE MAIDENS is the best I've seen. The hand engraved maidens on the all solid brass overlay, accents an already magnificent piece of ART. The Brass has the original old patina, I have not dared to clean it up or disturb it in anyway, it is truly all original, The back wood panel and inside wood box is in excellent condition for its age, and still has some of the old wood kinling in it. The bottom originally had casters but they are gone. The metal part of the wheels are still there but no wood or brass wheels. I took close up pictures of all the sides, and the top has a very detailed picture too. This is the kind of find that should be on the Antique Roadshow, who knows its real value. I can only tell you that the house it came from had been sealed up for over 40 years, it was reported as being haunted. What a show piece this will make in your Victorian Parlor! The FIREBOX is 21" Tall in the back, 16" Tall in the Front, 32" wide, the side maidens are 8" wide and the front panel is 21" wide.
