Wearing of Paranji was regulated by custom, etiquette and religion, knowledge of which was given from childhood. It had hidden women from sights. Wearing of Paranji had matched the principles of Islam. That religion had demanded the covering of face and figure of women. Paranji is a big and wide robe with long and narrow fictional sleeves. Those sleeves were placed on the back and fastened together. They were called as sovchok and purely hidden the figure of women from head to toes. This one item is antique sample of Uzbek Paranji. This Paranji is also one of the rare clothes of the old Uzbek culture and tradition which in process of life changing 20 century Paranji had lost its meaning. It is great sample for collectors of Asian clothes. The present item is a worthy sample of Uzbek traditional antiquarion clothes for top collectors of textiles from Central Asia. The edges are decorated with iraki embroidery with Lakay people motifs. It is lined with printed cotton material. The colours of such kind of dress was very important because it indicated the women age. The condition in generally is good for its age, has some old stains and holes.
