Description
All of these spikes/nails came from the shipwreck of Spring of Whitby which sank circa 1812 near Sebastian Inlet, Florida. Each originally had certificates but in our moving they have been misplaced. We found Whitby Certificates, but not for this group. Our loss is your gain. If we had the certificates for each we would have no trouble getting $75 or more each for them. Each is large and most are heavy. The Whitby was mixed in with the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet as well, so some of these spikes could actually be from the Fleet. Who Knows? Anyhow, as I said, our loss is your gain. If you love Spanish Treasure as I do, these should be a part of your collection. I will even throw in a Spring of Whitby certificate for the group if you want one. It will be close to matching these, but won't be exact. Sorry.  For more information see atocha.com, atocha, 1715, reales, escudos, key west, Mel Fisher, shipwreck, cobs, pirate pieces of eight, silver, gold,  and Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
