Description
nahasaru store AMAZING ART DECO SILVER TEA / COFFEE SERVICE, Ca. 1929 AMAZING ART DECO SILVER TEA / COFFEE SERVICE, Ca. 1929     Welcome, and thank you for looking!     Today we are offering:     A PERFECT ART DECO-ERA THREE-PIECE SILVER TEA / COFFEE SERVICE,                                                           Circa 1929      This is a three-piece Art Deco-era coffee or tea service from the late 1920s/early 1930s. It is in perfect condition, with no dents, dings, or plate loss. There is almost no scratching on the bodies of the pieces, although there are very fine minor use scratches on the bottoms of all three, and there is a small area of tannin discoloration on the interior bottom of the tea pot. All the hinges are tight and in perfect working order as well. The three pieces all have the "prototypical" Art Deco silhouette, with sleek, stepped, squarish geometrical handles and knobs.  The bottom of all three pieces show the marking "Dura A. 1 Quality E P N S."As a little extra, I will include a small harmonizing (although not matching) sugar spoon to put in the sugar bowl's notched lid.     This is a truly exquisite, beautifully proportioned set, in a state of exceptional preservation—a must for anyone who loves classic Art Deco aesthetics.    The sizes are as follows:    All knobs are 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) in height.   Length:  Tea/Coffee Pot:  10.0 inches (25.4 cm), tip of spout to end of handle      Cream Jug:        5.5 inches  (13.97 cm)    Sugar Bowl:       6.5 inches  (16.51 cm)             Width:    Tea/Coffee Pot:   6.5 inches (16.51 cm)     Cream Jug:         3-3/4 inches (9.52 cm)     Sugar Bowl:        5.0 inches (12.7 cm)  Height:   Tea/Coffee Pot:  3.0 inches, bottom to base of knob (7.62 cm)     Cream Jug:        2.0 inches (5.08 cm)     Sugar Bowl:       2.0 inches (5.08 cm) Weight:   (Total set, wrapped)  4.8 lbs.   (2.177 kg.)       We hope the eventual buyer will enjoy this exquisite set as much as we, and our families have before us.   NOTE: Display stand not included with item.      Auction-related information:   ************************************************************************************* IMPORTANT—PLEASE READ—!!!!!   RECENTLY, SEVERAL BUYERS HAVE COMPLETELY DISREGARDED THIS NOTICE OR HAVE BLITHELY NOT BOTHERED TO READ IT.  I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH:   PLEASE WAIT FOR US TO SEND YOU AN INVOICE!  !!!!!  DO  NOT  USE  EITHER  THE  E-BAY  OR  AUCTIVA  CHECKOUT  SYSTEMS !!!!! IT WILL DELAY PROCESSING OF YOUR PURCHASE BECAUSE THE SHIPPING COSTS AND OUR S&H CHARGE MAY NOT ACCURATELY BE REFLECTED IN THOSE TEMPLATE-BASED INVOICES.  THIS RESULTS IN BAD FEELINGS ALL AROUND, BECAUSE WE WILL FEEL SHORTCHANGED AND, BY HAVING TO COME BACK AND ASK BUYERS FOR ADDITIONAL SHIPPING, BUYERS WILL FEEL AS IF THEY ARE BEING HAD.    *************************************************************************************       ·                     Payment via U.S. Postal Money Order or Cashiers check from a known U.S. bank in US dollars is very much preferred. However, we also accept PayPal, with reluctance.         ·                     Please be sure to make contact via e-mail immediately after making an offer. Payment must be received within 7 days—sorry, no exceptions. If not, the sale will be voided, the buyer reported to e-bay as a non-paying bidder, and the next-highest bidder contacted or the item will be re-listed, at our discretion. Please do not make an offer if you are not prepared to follow these conditions of sale.         ·                     We wrap extremely thoroughly, so the exact shipping costs are approximate until the item(s) is wrapped. There is a $5.00 handling fee to cover materials, etc., but there are no hidden fees of any kind.  THIS FEE IS NEVER WAIVED, SO IF YOU DON'T SEE IT ON YOUR INVOICE, PLEASE ASK.       ·                     We choose the safest, not always the cheapest, way to ship breakables. However, we will do everything possible to accommodate any buyer preferences if you have a particular carrier you prefer. Insurance is required, and is the responsibility of the buyer; The cost is not included in the S. & H. fee, whatever the E-Bay form might say, since once the package is en route we no longer have any control over it.         ·                     IF YOU CHOOSE UPS GROUND, THE FIRST $100.00 OF ITEM VALUE IS COVERED UNDER THE "FREE" INSURANCE THAT IS PART OF THEIR SHIPPING CHARGE. IF YOU CHOOSE THE USPS, ALL INSURANCE IS SEPARATE. We will send the buyer an invoice with the exact shipping costs within 48 hours of purchase.         ·                     We truly do our very best to describe items in exhaustive detail, including any faults we notice, repairs, etc., both through photographs and text. PLEASE REMEMBER that vintage or antique items, even of museum quality, are rarely "perfect." We welcome any and all questions, and urge you to please be sure to ask ALL questions prior to making an offer. Remember that all sales are final, and all items are sold “as is.” We are not dealers. These are items we or our families have owned, and they have been lovingly cared for since they were first acquired.         NOTE:   ·                     We very much want people to be happy—and that is doubly true for our customers. So, although all sales are indeed final, if you have any “issues” let’s discuss them prior to your leaving feedback. We're always willing to try to find a happy medium—in life and on E-Bay.
