This 1850's Pineapple variation of a Log Cabin pattern from the Patton sisters (in their 90's) estate in picturesque White Cottage, Ohio, is HAND PIECED using Cheddar, Turkey Red, and home dyed medium green and tan for the 1/2" wide pieces, with a triple border of tan, Cheddar and green. Measuring 80" x 72", it has no batting, a hand applied tan 3/16" wide binding, and a pieced brown plaid homespun back. HAND QUILTED with "stitch in the ditch" quilting on each piece @ 7 stitches per inch. PROFESSIONALLY HAND LAUNDERED, we find no rips, tears, stains or odors, but some color changing on the home dyed greens as shown. A MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE THAT WOULD ENHANCE ANY QUILT COLLECTION!!!
