The picture shows same one float from two different angles.This BEAUTIFUL GREEN rolling pin is an older type, tapered end roller. It measures 6" in length.This body style is not in the float reference books. It has been found in old Japanese gear and float piles since the last reference book came out.It has been suggested this style roller be called "new style" fatty roller. this would be a miss-nomar since the roller is not new, just newly discovered. This roller was used as a working Japanese fishing float. It is in good beachcombed condition with minimal wear of working fishing floats that have spent their life at sea. There are no cracks or chips in this rolling pin with the inevitable exception of chipping on the seal button which is common for these old working floats.There are NO SANDED or etched areas. It is a very pretty green color.It was found in Hokkaido, Japan.It is made with heavy thick glass with impurities, inclusions and bubbles from the Japanese manufacturing technique.
