HUGE ... would comfortably fit the most voluptuous laps! They are made from a glorious linen damask with a delightful flower pattern in the centre of the napkin ... going into a very elegant border.  Each napkin feels light, but with the reassurance of weight ... so typical of linen.  They are silky soft and a pale creamy colour.  The last few photographs are closest to their true shade. There is a very feminine central monogram - A V - which had me a bit perplexed to start with as it could also be V V with one of the V's being inverted.  I have never seen this before though, so feel sure that it is A V The monogram is hand embroidered in a slightly raised satin stitch and the downward sections of each letter are outlined and then filled with tiny French knots.  The letters are inter-twined with sprigs of flowers and the inside of each flower is again filled with French knots - giving it a very romantic look.  The monogram measures 10 cm x 13 cm. The napkins are hand hemmed to each side and have selvedges top and bottom. They have been freshly washed and are in very good conditon. Stiffly starched, they will make a very elegant and stunning addition to a speical table setting.
