Please bookmark our eBay site and visit Techantiques.com. 6 HP WITTE TYPE K HOPPER COOLED GASOLINE ENGINE Details include a horizontal 4 stroke hopper cooled engine with twin 24” flywheels each with a 2 ½” face, Wico high tension magneto presently missing output wire to plug,(easily obtained through the Gas Engine Magazine) maker’s plate reading: Witte Engine Works, Kansas City, MO, USA, HP 6, No. 93799K, speed 450; with original throttle governed carburetor, complete with all controls, atmospheric intake valve, mechanical exhaust valve, original muffler, all in original paint having been purchased and used by one Maine family since new. Used for cutting stove wood, in original paint, not cleaned in any way, free turning with excellent compression, with working clutch pulley complete with a 6” face for flat belt, enclosed crankcase, under mounted heavy cast iron base, with base incorporated fuel tank, internal governor, external governor control knob all on a set of trucks with steerable front end and four 17” round spoked cast and steel wheels. This engine has always been stored indoors and when found at the estate the magneto and original catalogs were kept in a special box inside the farmhouse. This is a great example of a one family owned original gasoline engine in exceptional condition.
