For your bidding consideration is a magnificent set of six mid century Danish modern sculptural dining chairs by Drexel- worthy of being on the show "Mad Men".(note: the dining table and buffet shown in photos is available in separate auctions!) Drexel is know for fine quality and craftsmanship ,several of their mid century furniture pieces were designed by Edward Wormley- . This style is "Parralel "by Drexel~ If you are in search of a complete mid century dining set- Please visit my other auctions to bid on the incredible matching Drexel extension dining table and matching Drexel petite walnut buffet cabinet to complete your home for holiday entertaining!!.The dining chairs are beautifully designed with elegant sculptural form and appear to be made of walnut~ there are two arm chairs and four side chairs. The seats are covered with what appears to be the original 1960s orange /red upholstery which creates an instant pop of color for your mid century dining room. The chairs are in very good/ excellent 9.5 vintage condition with some wear as shown in photos. There is one side chair that may need 2 screws replaced where there is a slight gap-as I was not able to tighted with current screws -this is a minor fix( please see detailed photos) The orange naugahyde is in very good /excellent vintage condition -there are not rips ,no tears, no holes in the vinyl seats, there are a few pen marks- a bit of dirt -that may come cleaner with appropriate vinyl product . The vinyl color was a challenge to shoot- I would say the naugahyde is more orange (not red).Many photos to show incredible design and details!
