Water Lilies were commonly used during this period of time and these napkins are no exception. The exterior border features a garland of sinuous, elongated, curvy lines of closed lilies. The interior border has a contrast of sharp thick lines and open water lily & pad. The center shows sharp angled lines sprinkled with various water lilies. The napkins are from an estate and have a monogram in each corner of MLR. They have not been soaked or cleaned and do show some stains. I have photographed the areas, which include 3 napkins with stains. Note: There is one more napkin to the set but it has a hole.
