The buttons are all glass as far as I can tell. The buttons are from 1/2" to 7/8". They  are the type of buttons girls used to make a charm string. Young girls in the 1800's would string buttons with the idea that when they reached 1000 they would find their mate. There is one button that has a small chip (see picture). The rest are in great shape. The lady that collected these wrote some details like older paper weight, bracelet button etc. Place a Bid!
