Current Lot Massive pair French porcelain covered urns late 19th century gilt-metal cornucopia-form finial supported on domed covered and balustrade form adorned with painted vignettes of romantic court scenes on floral ground, embellished with ormolu mounts and flanked by maiden's-mask handles; covers inscribed: offert par le duc d'aiguillon a la majeste Marie-Antoinette Reine de France. H32" W18 1/2" Provenance : Jay and Katherine Gould estate, New York Knisley collection, Roanoke, Virginia Mary Richardson, Roanoke, Virginia James and Hazel Richardson descended to present owner through inheiritance.
