Description
Circumference: 45 inches (without rope).Diameter: 14 inches (without rope). Normal 0 Color: Green/BrownMaking: Spin castMarkings: NoneMore pictures hereHere for your buying pleasure is a 100% authentic, huge, heavy, thick glass, Japanese float. My daughter and I recently found it on a rocky shore in Aomori, Japan. I'm posting the last ones of the season; the snow is coming and it won't stop until at least April :)Description: Very nice color! Not your usual bluish, greenish float but a striking deep caramel with green tones. Often you will find fake floats with these colors; this one is 100% the real deal Condition: The only faults (if you want to call them that, being a working float and all that) are small scratches. It retains most of it's original luster. Small barnacle white spots are still present, but they are easy to remove if you want a cleaner float. It has no cracks whatsoever. I would say that for a working float it is very clean and glossy. Authenticity: Harvested by my daughter and I from Aomori bay, in the deep north of the main Japanese island of Honsu. We paddle the rocky coasts searching the nook and crannies that are unreachable by foot. We find dozens of broken floats, but every once in a while a beauty like this one is waiting for us. These are recovered working floats, which at some point broke away from their nets and got lucky enough to beach themselves without breaking. About color:If you look at the float pictures in ten different monitors, you will probably see it in ten different colors. Please keep in mind that while I will do my best to describe it as I see it, like most guys I have problems with anything beyond primary colors.Shipping:I'm in Japan but can ship to the U.S. via priority mail. You don't want me to ship to you via parcel post; it would take about two months for the box to get to you. Priority Mail = Airmail and insurance, Parcel Post = boat and no insurance. Shipping is whatever the USPS charges to ship from California to your location. If you are in the west coast or Hawaii, it is cheap, but the further it has to go towards the east coast, the more expensive it gets. More pictures here
