Truly outstanding Galle vase has cameo cut lily pond design with lily pads floating in a pond with tall iris flowers extending up the length of the vase with brown stems and light blue flowers. Hovering beside the iris is a large, nicely detailed dragonfly with brown body and blue wings. The pond scene gives way to subtle, almost indistinct trees in the background. The cameo decoration is all set against a background of subtle yellow shading to cream. The vase is finished with three seashells lightly acid cut into the foot.
