Sized just right for a small child or for your dolls, the bench measures 18" high at the back, 9" seat height, 27" wide and 11" front-to-back (20" doll on bench is for show only, to demonstrate how well the bench works with early primitive dolls). The painted details are beautiful with normal though gentle wear, considering the age of this Sheraton Bench. Pictures are taken from many angles to show the hand-cut plank seat bottom and crest rail. Provenance states the bench was made in the Southern US, in Virginia or the Carolinas. Used by a little girl as her favorite seat, before it came to us its last residence was a museum. We guarantee the age and authenticity of this piece, and we've done no work to it since we acquired the bench - no cleaning, no touch-ups or varnish.
