Description Current Lot ROYAL FLEMISH COVERED JAR. Extremely fine example of Royal Flemish has gold gilt decoration of cherubs fighting dragons on front and back. The neck of the jar is decorated with a swirling leaf design outlined in gold with a lovely mauve background and the wide outer lip is decorated with stylized spread eagles in gold against a dark mauve background. The jar is further embellished with two delicate applied glass handles with gold gilt decoration. Topping the jar is its original glass stopper with gold vertically ribbed finial and gold dragons heads and swirling leaves against a dark mauve background. SIZE: 15-1/2" t.
