Beautiful pair of Mies van der Rohe Barcelona lounge chairs manufactured by Knoll in the 1970´s. The chairs still bear the tag reading Knoll 745 Fifth Ave., N.Y., New York. Little explantion is needed of the history, nor importance of the design, originally for the King and Queen of Spain in 1929. The chairs are upholstered in the original tan ("tobacco") leather which has aged appropriately: no tears, and a nice patina delineating the individual panels. The stainless steel frames are in excellent condition. One of the chairs is missing a bottom seat strap, the snap-on strap on the back cushion, and both buckle straps on the seat cushion. They measure 29.5" w x 30" d x 30.5" h. Seat height is 17.5" Place a Bid!
