These might have been intended for a coverlet or pillow top. Each is made out of an assortment of colorful, varied felts. One is made of smaller felts (the original individual size of about 3-½” X 5-½”). These are mostly Native American Indian designs (including the traditional whirling logs swastika, bow & arrow, tomahawks and other motifs), in vivid reds, hot pinks, blue, ochre, greens, etc., with an American flag felt at the center and at one corner. A Cuba flag graces another corner. This is made of 35 individual felts stitched together for a total size of about 25-¾” X 25”. These have very bright, crisp colors but for a vague hint of fading at the lavender edge of one flag felt.The other piece is composed of 12 larger (roughly 5-½” X 8”) felts in diverse, cheery patterns of rows of lively Native American Indian design felts alternating with rows of butterfly designs, in rich, vibrant colors - hot pinks, various blues, turquoise, red, yellow, black, etc. The total size of this is about 23-¾” X 21-¼”.
