silverqueen Store I am pleased to be offering for sale this fine example of 19th century country / primitive dry sink. A beautiful piece of historical furniture of how dishes and pans were washed , food washed and prepared from the garden in those old country farmhouses and even in the kitchen areas of many well to do homes. This wonderful piece is made of 3 types of hardwood (which was typical of country pieces in this era) oak,walnut and tulip wood. This has a large spacious drop down area that would hold the large enamel or tin wash pans filled with water for the work, a storage drawer to the right (all dove tail construction) to hold utensils, and cabinet doors open up to reveal storage space for other kitchen ware needs, This measures 39 " high, and is 49 inches wide and 19 inches deep. This is in wonderful condition for its age and has some remnants of old paper that has adhered to the bottom shelf . Please remember that vintage items and antiques will show some type(s) of wear and minor imperfections they have acquired through enduring time. This only adds to the items' charm and character and authenticates the history of these pieces making them even more desirable and collectible and sought after.
