The lace has been tacked onto tissue paper and it has a label - “Hand Made Lace 10/6, French Le Puy 19 c” , an exceptional piece of the finest quality antique lace - I believe it dates from the mid Victorian era around 1850 - 1870. The panel insert features the fat wheat-ears that form the petals of the floral design.
