Description
mike0102 store 19TH CENTURY MARITIME SCHOONER MODEL OF MUSEUM QUALITY "SHE IS NAMED LISA (WOODS HOLE MASS.)" Search Here is a rare opportunity to own one of the finest maritime models in existence today. The schooner truly belongs in a maritime museum where it can be on display for all to see. The exact age is unknown but it appears from what we can determine to have been a 19th Century piece. The attention to detail common in those bygone eras is readily apparent throughout this magnificent piece. The size is very large and is over 74 1/4 inches long to end of bow sprit, 18 1/2 inches wide at mid ship and appox. 56 inches high from top of mast to bottom of hull. It comes with the display stand but now she is suspended and is the hanging centerpiece in our studio. The sails are original, fragile and mostly intact to the best of our knowledge and have an enhancing patina from age. The decks have scuppers, and life boats with oars, lines, rigging, bronze wheel steering post. Magnificent detail will amaze and give bounteous pride of ownership. Many details that the camera can not capture but a personal eye view will excite and delight maritime enthusiasts.  The interior artfully and painstakingly done as hundreds of hours were spent on attention to detail. The interior hull is opened by lifting the hatches as some of the pictures show. You can see where the masts are artfully stepped. The weight is not known and to difficult to guess, but two able-bodied seamen can carry it slowly.
