This is an interesting old map book I purchased at an estate sale.  It is filled with all sorts of fascinating history, plat maps and other maps.  There are individual maps of each township.  Every farm, section and land division is noted with the land owners name clearly marked.  Locations of farm houses are plotted within each parcel of land.  Locations of churches, cemeteries, and rural schools are clearly identified.  Every creek, river, wagon road, rural route and railroad is also clearly shown.  Each school district in each township is clearly labelled.  What makes this volume REALLY special is that every little town and village has its own map that details the layout of the town, streets, land plots, railroads, significant landowners, churches, schools, grain elevators, town annexes and other interesting information.  Some of the town maps are inset next to the county maps.  Larger towns have their own, individual full or double page maps.  The largest towns have huge fold out maps.  These fold out maps are quite large. The detail is truly amazing.  This kind of work is possible due to the large size of the maps in the book.  Overall dimensions for this atlas are just short of 18 inches long and 15 1/2 inches wide when closed!   Mills townships include:  Anderson, Center, Deer Creek, Glenwood, Indian Creek, Ingraham, Lyons, Oak, Plattville, Rawles, St. Mary, Silver Creek, and White Cloud.  It contains towns like Glenwood, Malvern, Hastings, Emerson, Pacific Junction, Silver City, Henderson, Hillsdale, Mineola, Pacific City, Solomon, Strahan, White Cloud and Balfour. Fremont County Townships include Scott, Green, Riverside, Monroe, Benton, Sidney, Prairie, Walnut, Riverton, Fisher, Washington, Madison, Locust Grove.  It contains towns like Anderson, Bartlett, Farragut, Hamburg City, Imogene, McPaul, Percival, Randolph, Riverton, Sidney City, Tabor and Thurman. The "Farmers' Directory" associated with each set of maps lists names, addresses, and section by township.   You will also find a Directory of Leading County Business Houses and Fine Stock, a History of each county, Reminiscence of Early Settlers for each couny, And Portraits of Leading County Citizens.   It is fantastic to find a collection of information and history like this.  I've never seen such a detailed set of maps paired with county histories.  This volume would be exceptionally useful for anyone working on genealogy.    The hard covers of this book show quite a bit of wear and some surface loss.  The spine has been taped.  The maps are generally very clean and quite informative. There's lots of them.  The large fold out maps of a few specific towns have some mis-folding and tearing with old repairs visible.  Several of the pages of photographs at the end of the book are damaged with tears and edge tattering.  A couple are detached.  It is possible that there is a page of these photos missing.  I cannot tell for sure.  Some smudging noted.  This is generally very minor, excepton  the map of the United States.   This is a very interesting book with lots of information you could spend months or years trying to find.   The maps and detail are incredible.  The detail is exceptional.  It would be hard to find another copy today, at any price.   Don't miss out.  Bid now! Shipping outside United States is higher, so ask about the difference. Buyers outside the US must pay by PayPal in US funds. I always ship by USPS. Combining shipping on items to save money is almost always possible, but some very heavy, oddly shaped or bulky items or items of different mail classes cannot be combined. Insurance is available for $1.70 per each $50 of purchase price. Insurance is provided by U-Pic. If an insurance claim for damage is necessary, you must retain the shipping box and all packing materials.  Photographs will be required. Delivery Confirmation (package tracking) is available for $0.65.  Iowa residents must pay 7% sales tax on the entire amount, including shipping. I package all items very well, so I am not responsible for items broken or lost in the mail. In the event of damage, I will sign forms for insurance and begin the process the buyer must follow through with the the insurer in order to get any settlement. Refunds are available only if the item is not as described in the listing. Item must be returned in condition received before refund is issued. Refund must be requested by contacting me within 5 days of receiving item. Item must be received by me within 7 days of contact. Refund for amount of purchase only and return postage is the responsibility of the buyer. I use recycled boxes which may contain traces of peanuts or other allergens.  I am not responsible for any accidents, injuries or other damages that arise out of the use or misuse of any item purchased.
