The text is in German. The hardcover book is the original cloth, heavily decorated with a gilt portrait of Paganini and musical staff on front cover, violin on spine. The cloth is starting to split at the gutters, and the spine is faded to brown. The hinges are weak, but the interior is clean, and the book is firmly bound and very good overall.
