Description: It is an Original Antique Map: Not a Reproduction!"  The map is from Basin Forester's Illustrated Historical Atlas of the State of Indiana, published in Chicago, 1876.  A copy of the title page is included with the map for authenticity. It is a steel plate engraved map with lithograph color. Shown are Railroads, post offices, county seats, highways, townships, churches, schools, creeks and other details. There are two images printed back to back on one sheet, so you would have to choose a side to frame.  On one side is a large plan of Indianapolis and on the other double side is a map of Marion County and on the other North Indianapolis, North-eastern Indianapolis and Irvington. Size: The map image measures approximately 16 1/2 by 24 1/2  inches on a 17 1/2 by 28" page. Condition:  It is in Very Good to Excellent condition with no obvious defects to mention other than a minor random spot or two as usual. There is a slight 1 inch split along the bottom of the centerfold. It is a strong impression with bright color printed on a heavy page. A very nice example for framing or study.  The pics are very accurate of color and condition.
