Free Shipping on Purchases of 5 or More Maps and Prints Description:  It is an original antique map with handcoloring as issued with the desirable grapevine border. It is from Mitchell's New General Atlas published by S. Augustus Mitchell in Philadelphia, 1875. It has an actual copyright date of 1874 printed in the bottom left margin. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. It is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Interestingly, someone has drawn in the Klondike Road and labled Dawson in pencil, probably during the gold rush era when it would have been of more geogrphical interest. A rare early Alaska map very shortly after Russia ceded it to the US as stated on the map. Overall, A Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.  Size: The map image measures approximately 11 by 13 1/2 inches on a 12 by 15" page with a margin all around for framing. Condition: The map is in Very Good condition for its age with overall very light tonal ageing. Other than some darkening around the edges and the pencil inscription of Dawson, it is very clean, a nice strong impression with bright original handcolor, blank on the reverse.
