Indiana County is located in Western Pennsylvania.  It was created from Westmoreland County and Clearfield County. The township map locates and identifies names of property owners, churches, schools, businesses, etc.  Included in the map are: Round Top, Indiana Branch Railroad, Homer Cherry Tree and Susquehanna Railroad, New State Road, Fulton's Run, Warren Road, Saltsburg Road, Two Lick Creek, etc. Also shown are limestone outcroppings, iron ore, coal, coal pit, coal lands, etc. The business names listed in the "Business Notices" section on the reverse side of this map  for the town of Indiana are: attorneys, agents, artist, banks, books and stationery, bakers and confectioners, builders contractors and carpenters, blacksmiths and wagon makers, druggists, dentists, hotels, harness makers, ice cream and refreshment rooms, lumber coal and bark, liveries, manufacturers and dealers, merchants and dealers, merchant tailors, marble and stone yards, physicians and surgeons, newspapers, miscellaneous. I purchased this map at the local estate auction of book collector A. L. Hanford, Jr., of Lebanon, Pennsylvania.  The Hanford family was a prominent Lebanon Valley family, for whom the YMCA A. L. Hanford Center is named. I generally do not separate maps from an atlas, but this atlas was incomplete, and its cover was in poor condition, so I am offering the maps from this atlas individually here.  Condition: Very Nice Condition: No library or institution markings.  No previous owner's markings.
