AUCTION   3" diameter globe.  Stands 7 1/2" tall.  Nope, not mint.  This travel globe probably was packed in a few trunks, felt some stagecoach bumps & train rails and survived.  It designates the National & International borders of that time period.  We've come across a picture of a similar looking globe on President Grants desk.  The time-frame fits.  Not sure what the metal stand is made of.  Its not a pot metal or brass but it is magnetic.  Although I've used it on my desk as a paperweight for most of the last decade, I've never cleaned it so it is unmessed-with, as pictured.    All items are Fresh, not from shops, shows, auctions or malls.
