NICHOLSON PRINTER MDCCCLVI     This is a very large book and is 152 years old.  At the top of the title page in the upper margin it says, "33d CONGRESS 1st Session" and "HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES." and "Ex. Doc. No. 121.".  On the back of the title page it says, "IN THE HOUSE OF REPREENTATIVES, July 13, 1854." and "July 13, 1854 - Laid upon the table, and ordered to be printed." and "July 25, 1854 - Ordered, That 6,000 copies of the Report and 2,000 copies of the Observations be printed; 500 copies of each for the use of the Secretary of the Navy, and 250 copies of each for the Superintendent of the Expedition." There are 284 pages in the first part of the book numbered in roman Numerals.  The second part of the book has 492 pages and is numbered 1 through 492.   The book is in good condition for being 152 years old.  The cover is detached but the binding is tight and solid.  The 1st blank page at the beginning of the book is the only loose page.  The binding of the book is in very good condition and solid.  There are not any missing pages and it is complete.  There are brown spots on pages throughout the book.  Many pages do not have any brown spots.  There is some water stains on the upper right corner of some of the back pages of the book.  This is volume III and it is full of charts and tables throughout the book.  Some of the chart titles include: FORMATION OF EQUATIONS OF CONDITION, WEIGHTS AND MEAN ERRORS, OPPOSITIONS OF MARS, INFERIOR CONJUNCTION OF VENUS, DIAMETERS OF MARS, and many many many more .....
