1843 crown and butterfly sampler Start Price USD 445.00 Current Price USD 445.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, August 31, 2008 End Time Sunday, September 07, 2008 Location Costa Mesa, CA See more about '1843 crown and butterfly sampler' Description This is a great old sampler dated 1843....it is not signed but has an assortment of objects stitched on to the linen...these include a border of flowers and stems going on all four sides.  In the middle is a butterfly,star, heart, a crown, a girl, and three flower baskets.  The sampler is English and I bought it Bermondsley Antique Fair....it is beautifully soft colors of blues and greens.  The heart and person has some reds.  It measures 12 by 13 inches on the inside and  16/1/2 by 16 on the ouside birds's eye maple frame with a gold liner.  There is a small brown (chocolate...I didn't do it!!) on the upper corner and two small tears in the linen that doesn't affect the look of the sampler.  This is a keeper for any collector.  Please email me with any questions.  It is a very fine piece! artlady007@aol.com Place a Bid!
