Description
1800s Ear Trumpet & Unique Ear Reverberation This is an Ear Trumpet in very good condition with woven silk cord and unique Ear Reverberation in Red colored Gutta Percha Bakelite extensions (Ear & Bell). Although padded ear piece is missing, it is still a treasure to early hearing aids. This treasure dates middle 1800s to early 1900s. It is in very good condition and operation. It has the “Otophone” reverberating earpiece that was a first of this design in 1875. The cord is bound with woven silk and the trumpet and receiver are RED Gutta Percha or Bakelite. Length is 44”. Professional collectors will know the unique design to this hearing instrument. It will highlight any collection of antique ear trumpet hearing devices. Buyer to pay shipping/handling and insurance.
