The hallmarks are mostly rubbed, but one clearly shows marks for London, 1720, with a maker's mark, clear on each, that closely resembles that of John Bache. Each has the heavy guage and high-quality associated with early Georgian silver, together with some evidence of possible reshaping during the later 18th Century into their present form, including engraved Royal armorials on the verso with initials "G.R.". The design conforms more to the fashion of the later Georgian period than the earlier.
