I think it's a runner for under something. Beautiful rose design on one corner is exquisite! Looks 40's. Done around the edges and design with a sewing machine, but stitches are not perfect like modern ones and the fabric is very old linen. Absolutely beautiful! I got them from an antique collector this week and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! They are faded white and a very beautiful shade of blue. It measures 16.5 square. Even if you just buy them to copy the patterns it's WORTH IT!!  They are very unique and detailed.  Just amazing how much time they put into these beautiful doilies!
